What is Bio-Link Marine Coral Calcium?
Bio-Link marine coral calcium is collected from the weathered remains of Sango Coral fragments in Okinawa, Japan. As the coral naturally disintegrates over time the coral grains are washed out to sea by the ocean currents. This coral sand is gently collected by suction, several miles downstream of the reefs under the strict regulation of the Japanese Government. There is no harm to the natural environment. Only approximately 0.1% of the coral grain annual production is collected.

Bio-Link coral calcium contains the highest grade of coral calcium available: SMP-44 Sango Mineral Powder. This powder provides natural calcium and magnesium 2:1, which is believed to be the most beneficial ratio.


Capsules: Supplied in bottles of 120 capsules. Each capsule contains 1000mg of coral calcium powder, which furnishes 200mg of calcium and 100mg of magnesium, along with up to 70 naturally occurring trace minerals, including iron, potassium, manganese, selenium, copper, iodine and zinc.

100iu of vitamin D3 is added per capsule, to assist with intestinal absorption. (See below)

Suggested use is 2 to 4 capsules daily. A total of 4 capsules will provide 800mg of calcium and 400mg of magnesium, being 133% and 114% of the New Zealand RDA's (Recommended Daily Allowance) respectively.

Calcium & Vitamin D
Vitamin D is essential for the absorption of calcium. When there is a Vitamin D deficiency the active transportation of calcium stops.
Our bodies manufacture vitamin D when the skin is exposed to sunlight. Vitamin D is also present in some foods, although only a few contain significant amounts.

Individuals who have limited exposure to sunlight are at risk of developing a vitamin D deficiency. The ability of the skin and kidneys to convert vitamin D to it's active form also decreases as we age. Therefore some older people or those with limited exposure to sunlight may need vitamin D from a supplement.


Bio-Link marine coral calcium capsules have 100iu of vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol) added per capsule, to offer assistance with intestinal absorption for those individuals who may be low in vitamin D.
